The Role MSL/Medical Advisor
Represent LEO Pharma Medical Affairs Switzerland in the field of Dermatology in the dedicated territory (French Speaking part of CH, Romandie).Be the primary contact person for all medical questions and medical discussions around the LEO Pharma marketed and pipeline products, as well as for questions on clinical data. Act as the link between the external medical experts in the territory and the company. Support the sales field force with medical expertise. Work closely with the medical colleagues as well as x-functional. Develops medical materials and supports development of marketing materials for Switzerland.
The responsibilities
- Responsible for providing concise and unbiased medical information about marketed and pipeline products to increase disease awareness and support safe product use among the scientific/medical community and customers.
- Develops and executes own medical projects in the region and supports national medical projects including support for review of promotional advertising for accuracy and completeness of medical information.
- Provides medical expertise and education to external experts and other HCPs in presentations and through discussions.
- Collaborates closely with external experts on medical projects in the region (including regional expert boards, educational meetings etc.)
- Collaborates closely with internal medical functions e.g. concerning publications or real world evidence generation projects arising from the territory.
- Provides medical expertise by supporting training and guidance to marketing and sales teams and ensures they have enough knowledge and information regarding the organization’s products.
- Keeps up-to-date of scientific trends and knowledge, for example by attending conferences, congresses and medical events.
- Takes advantage of events and proactively builds and maintains relationships with target opinion leaders
- Hold scientific presentations as requested by HCPs.
- Ensures all internal and external compliance rules and regulations are followed.
- If applicable, support the Medical Advisor Switzerland with rolling out RWE projects (e.g., NIS) in the given territory
- Collects insights from the field and forwards to internal local (medical, commercial) and global stakeholders (GMA, Field medical organization, MSL col-leagues in other markets).
- Develops content for medical materials and supports development of marketing materials including medical review.
- Work closely with x-functional colleagues like marketing and sales to support projects with medical expertise (e.g. in brand meeting etc.)
Your profile:
- Medical/scientific qualifications: completed study in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy or equivalent, ideally with PhD, MD
- Ideally with in-depth knowledge of dermatology and specialist knowledge in the field of biologics/innovative therapies
- Prior experience in pharma industry preferred
- Very good knowledge of the guidelines, legal and compliance requirements in the Swiss healthcare system
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Very good presentation skills
- Very good knowledge of French (native or close to native speaking/writing); Italian might be a plus
- Very good knowledge of German (high level of interactions with German speaking colleagues at the affiliate)
- Very good knowledge of English (global meetings, reading publications, x-country activities etc.)
