Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Medical Advisor

You will represent the medical face of LEO Pharma Austria  in your territory and establish a sustainable relationship between LEO Pharma and external medical experts and other stakeholder. You will provide advice both within and outside the company on medical/scientific issues and implement LEO Pharma medical/scientific product strategies locally making it one of the most interesting jobs, for sure.

Your role

You will Represent LEO Pharma Medical Affairs Austria in the respective territory and be the primary contact person for all medical questions around the LEO Pharma marketed and pipeline products, as well as for questions on clinical data and trials/studies. Act as the link between the external medical experts, as well as other stakeholders and the company. Support the commercial team with medical expertise within internal and external regulations and support smooth execution of clinical studies/trials, if applicable.

• Responsible for providing concise and unbiased medical information about marketed and pipeline products to increase awareness and support safe product use among the scientific/medical community and customers.
• Develops and executes own medical projects in the region and supports national medical projects including support for review of promotional advertising for accuracy and completeness of medical information.
• Provides medical expertise and education to external experts and other HCPs in presentations and through discussions. 
• Collaborates with external experts on medical projects including advisory boards, educational meetings, publications, potential IIS, NIS, RCT etc.
• Provides medical expertise and training to commercial teams, especially for upcoming launch products.
• Keeps up-to-date of scientific trends and knowledge, for example by attending conferences, congresses and medical events.
• Takes advantage of events and proactively builds and maintains relationships with target opinion leaders. Educating and discussing the benefits of key products to key external medical experts, other HCPs and other stakeholders relevant for upcoming product launches and pipeline.
• Providing medical information internally and externally e.g. to external experts, HCPs, as well as other stakeholders relevant for upcoming launches.
• Hold scientific presentations at medical customer locations. 
• Supports Head of MA with medical projects as well as dedicated patient access and market access topics.
• Supervision of potential Investigator-initiated Studies (IIS) in the respective territory.
• Local support for clinical trials (RCTs/NIS), if applicable.
• Provides medical input to local x-functional and/or x-country medical meetings  
   

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications: 

•    Medical/scientific qualifications: Completed study in Medicine, Biology or pharmacy or equivalent, ideally with PhD, MD
•    Ideally with in-depth knowledge of dermatology and specialist knowledge in the field of biologics  
•    Prior experience in pharma industry 
•    Very good knowledge of the guidelines, legal and compliance requirements in the Austrian healthcare system
•    Communicates scientific facts clearly, fair and well-balanced  
•    Prioritizes customer needs and strives to exceed their expectations
•    Demonstrates ability to deliver engaging and balanced medical presentations
•    Exhibits excellent command of both English and German languages
