Role Description

As a biostatistician supporting US Medical Affairs and US HEOR, and Global Product Strategy you work mainly on Phase 2b, Phase 3, and Phase 4 data from both trials and external databases. You will have responsibility related to biostatistics across stakeholders within one or more projects. You are recognized as an area specialist in principles and practices of biostatistics and RWE. You have a sound understanding of the different functional areas within Global Product Strategy and International as well as Medical Affairs, dermatology, and scientific principles. You provide credible solutions to new challenges. You can communicate complex results/ideas/visions to stakeholders within and outside LEO Pharma.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise consultants from a methodology point of view
  • Provide credible analysis of data from randomized clinical trials (RCTs), prospective and retrospective observational studies, surveys focusing on patient reported outcomes and health economic data
  • Responsible for publications (part of publication team) regarding statistical and scientific aspects
  • Statistical sub-group analyses to support affiliate pricing and reimbursement negotiations
  • Provide statistical guidance and conduct meta-analysis and indirect treatment comparisons using e.g. network meta-analysis and population-adjustment methods based on patient level data
  • Support building health economic decision models by evidence for reimbursement applications
     


Requirements:

  • A MSc in statistics (or equivalent). A PhD, formal training in health economics or epidemiology is an advantage but not a requirement
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry or related area
  • Skilled in programming and working with SAS and R
  • Experience as informal team leader or supervisor is an advantage
  • Contribution to peer-reviewed scientific publications from pharmaceutical, biotechnology or public health industry, or academia
  • Experience of working with quality of life and patient reported outcome data and/or causal inference in observational research is an advantage
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, including good communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken
  • Good project management skills
