Role Description

Your Role

The Pricing & Reimbursement Manager plays an integral role in developing pricing and reimbursement strategies to optimize profitability and access to LEO products. This role will build compelling value arguments, develop data analytics and budget impact analyses, and prepare relevant submissions to gain positive outcomes from Public and Private Payers.

 

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Pricing

  • Manage annual pricing process: annual pricing analyses to optimize price revenue and profitability for all products. Prepare price increase scenarios and recommendations for annual forecast and present to Commercial Leadership team for discussion and approval.
  • Provide analysis to support new product pricing.
  • Ad hoc pricing analysis: collaboration with business unit to conduct analyses in alignment with brand strategy.
  •  Identify and evaluate the financial impact of changes to PMPRB and payer policy to direct LEO strategy
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Global LEO and payer pricing policies.
  • Manage global pricing process (i.e. Pricing Suite, Value Committee) for new and existing LEO products.
  • Manage internal and external pricing communications.
  • Analytics to support strategic business unit initiatives.

PMPRB Reporting

  • Prepare and submit bi-annual PMPRB reports for LEO products.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to PMPRB regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain up to date knowledge of government pricing rules and regulations (Canada and global).
  • Liaise with Global to monitor LEO patents to inform strategic pricing decisions locally.

Payer Analytics & Support

  • Preparation of data and reports for maintenance of product listing agreements, development of budget impact analyses for LEO products and providing direction for development of profitability analysis.
  •  Preparation of pricing component of provincial and private payer submissions for all LEO products.
  • Prepare for product pricing negotiations with Pan Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (PCPA) and payers as required.
  •  Develop and build relevant, solid value arguments with secondary data analysis to support market access & pricing strategy.
  • Support Patient Access related activities that enable LEO Pharma to secure optimal reimbursement, optimize patient access and stakeholder relations and realize the maximum commercial potential of current and future LEO Pharma products marketed in Canada.
  • Assist in setting up and utilize market access and departmental planning tools (e.g. tracking tools, dashboards, public affairs and stakeholder planning tools, environmental review).
  • Coordinate and compile data for submissions and presentations.

Reimbursement

  • Collaborate locally and globally to gain knowledge, influence and drive decisions to facilitate optimal reimbursement of LEO products.
  • Build relevant, solid value arguments to support LEO product reimbursement, includes conducting supportive research/analysis.
  • Design, prepare, and tender relevant submissions to gain positive outcomes for public and private payers.
  • Assist in the development of supportive strategy (i.e. Advocacy, communication, government policy) to ensure submission success.
  • Work closely with External Affairs Manager to help develop and implement strategies and address opportunities for LEO Products.
  • Remain current and adaptable regarding the external market access environment.
  •  Designated as core member of cross functional team for LEO established brands for Patient Access.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree or higher in sciences, business, finance or related discipline (MBA is a plus)
  • 2 to 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry; specifically in Market Access or Pricing 
  •  Demonstrated business analytics experience; strong analytical and quantitative skills 
  •  The ability to interpret financial data, produce meaningful reports, and relay insights and recommendations 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills as well as solid interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to influence and negotiate 
  • Experience interacting with all levels of the organization and external parties 
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills 
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
