  • Act as an anti-corruption compliance business partner to affiliate Leadership team, interpreting anti-corruption compliance regulations/requirements, identifying their possible business impact and co-driving solutions
  • Driving roll-out of Global Anti-corruption Compliance initiatives, including global Policies & Procedures, Third Party Compliance, Due Diligence, Compliance Training & Communications, Risk Assessment, Testing and Monitoring, Speak-up and Investigations Management
  • Support the Line of Business in vetting of HCP engagements and develop healthcare compliance policies, processes and standards
  • Support Line of Business in ToV disclosure, SOP development and guidance
  • Drive and develop further Anti-corruption Compliance in the affiliates, including the governance structure, mind-set, processes and procedures, and monitoring
  • Conducting the Corruption Risk Assessment, monitoring and remediation activities.
  • Perform internal investigations (ad hoc)
  • Ensure timely escalation of all potential anti-corruption compliance issues to management in affiliates and the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Consolidate, follow up and report on anti-corruption compliance issues.
  • Localize, participate and/or drive strategic Anti-corruption Compliance projects.
  • DPFP in China.
  • Internally, leads, support and collaborates seamlessly with country management team and their leaders;
  • Key member of the Global Risk and Compliance team
  • Externally, interacts with peer groups and standard setting organizations.

Requirements

  • JD degree, Audit or Business Management preferred with prior experience as in-house compliance officer in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus a minimum of 8 years’ experience in legal, internal audit, finance, and/or health care; or Master's degree in related field with 6 years of related experience in legal, internal audit, finance, and/or health care.
  • Proven expertise in substantive compliance-related matters including, but not limited to China Pharma industry requirements, anti-corruption (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act, etc.), competition law and healthcare compliance. Experience with HIPAA, GDPR and/or LGPD a plus.
  • Extensive prior experience as Compliance Head in China - advising executive and senior leadership.
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required; and experience in JDE or SharePoint preferred.
  • Proven successful project management skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and leverage cross-functional relationships and collaborations to influence change and to ensure seamless and effective management of compliance-related matters
  • Strong cross cultural, diversity, and inclusion mindset.
  • Expert knowledge of Industry Code requirements.
  • Able to influence business decisions, policies, and strategy development
  • Expert understanding of effective compliance program standards
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Able to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to the appropriate levels of management for resolution or visibility.

  • Expert understanding and development of procedures which drive desired behaviors and support achievement of corporate objectives, innovation and trusted partnership.
  • Ability to comprehend and educate others on LEO´s policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to compliance.
  • Able to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of corporate responsibility to the business.
