The Evidence Generation Manager plays a critical role in driving end-to-end real-world evidence generation strategy and execution to advance scientific understanding, inform clinical practice, and strengthen scientific differentiation of key assets.
This role leads the design, execution, and dissemination of RWE studies, including observational studies, registries, and database research, while ensuring high scientific rigor and compliance with global and local regulations.
The role requires strong strategic thinking, scientific expertise, and cross-functional leadership to ensure that publications are aligned with global and local medical priorities and are delivered in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
RWE Strategy & Evidence Generation:
• Develop and contribute to integrated RWE strategies aligned with global and local priorities
• Identify evidence gaps and translate them into actionable study concepts
• Design and oversee RWE studies (PMS, observational, registries, database studies)
• Ensure alignment with global evidence plans and lifecycle strategies
Study Execution & Oversight:
• Lead the full study lifecycle: concept → protocol → execution → analysis → publication → dissemination
• Ensure scientific rigor and compliance with GCP, GPP, and local regulations
• Oversee study timelines, budgets, and vendor/CRO collaboration
Publication & Scientific Dissemination:
• Lead publication planning aligned with evidence priorities
• Co-develop manuscripts, abstracts, and congress materials with internal and external authors (including medical writing where appropriate)
• Ensure high-quality scientific communication and compliance with GPP, ICMJE, and internal SOPs
Governance & Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Lead interactions with global governance bodies (e.g., Global Review Committee)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Access, Regulatory Affairs, etc) and external partners (KEEs, CROs, medical writing agencies and publication vendors)
External Scientific Engagement:
• Partner with Key External Experts (KEEs) on evidence generation planning, publication strategy, and authorship
• Support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored research collaborations
• Contribute to scientific exchange through evidence-based engagement
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
• Advanced degree (PhD or MSc in life sciences, epidemiology, public health, or related field)
• 5–10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs / Publications / Clinical Research or relevant field preferred
• Strong understanding of observational research methodologies and real-world data
• Ability to critically review and contribute to scientific writing
• Experience in drafting or significantly contributing to peer- reviewed publications
• Strong data interpretation and storytelling skills
• Ability to connect publications with medical strategy, evidence gaps, and asset differentiation
• Experience engaging with external experts and global teams
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to navigate stakeholders and processes effectively
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical environment, compliance, and regulations
• Knowledge of GCP, GPP, GPP3/4, and ICMJE
