Your role

As a Senior Medical Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by providing expert guidance and strategic insight. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of innovative medical plans and solutions that positively impact patient outcomes. 

 

Medical Brand Strategy:

  • Build and maintain relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) and gather insights through meetings, congresses, and symposia.
  • Develop and execute medical strategies aligned with UKIE, global, and cross-functional brand strategies.
  • Collect and share brand-related insights and competitor information across the organization.
  • Oversee Investigator Initiated Study (IIS) proposals and support clinical teams with study site nominations and patient recruitment.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and global/regional teams, to develop materials and activities.
  • Provide scientific/medical input into brand objectives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapeutic areas and competitor activities.
  • Align with cross-functional teams to create and implement KEE plans.

 

Medical Training and Support:

  • Deliver therapy area and product training to internal teams.
  • Provide scientific/medical advice and insights to internal colleagues as needed.

 

ABPI/IPHA Compliance:

  • Act as an ABPI/IPHA signatory, ensuring efficient and effective medical review of materials.
  • Provide guidance on compliance issues, investigate complaints, and escalate risks as necessary.

 

This role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong focus on compliance and medical excellence.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications: 

 

  • Medical Doctor or UK registered pharmacist
  • ABPI/IPHA medical signatory required
  • Substantial and proven experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry within a Medical Affairs role 
  • Background in dermatology is a plus
  • Product launch experience is a plus
