Your role

As the Senior Internal & External Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies for both internal and external communications and stakeholder management. 

 

Your primary objectives will include:

 

  • Strategy development and corporate communications. 
    • Developing the UKIE corporate value proposition from the Global Communications strategy and initiating local implementation. 
    • Working with the General Manager, the UKIE Leadership and Cultural Ambassadors to create the UKIE 2025 strategy and priorities. 
    • Working with our PR agency to maximise communications opportunities including key brand milestones.
    • Leading the UKIE Issues Management Process and media monitoring.
    • Liaising with Global Communications and the key market communicators.

 

  • Internal communications
    • Developing key strategic communications to support the General Manager & the UKIE Leadership Team. Providing thematic development, and lead design for key events including all company conferences and Team Forums.
    • Maximising internal engagement for key strategic projects, including brand launches. 

 

  • Patient and Patient Advisory Group engagement
    • The lead for our relationships with patients; supporting the cross-functional development of patient case studies, patient support, and patient activation projects. 
    • Developing strong working relationships with our Patient Advisory Group partners.

 

  • Digital Media Management 
    • Overseeing the UKIE LinkedIn channel and upskilling the business in social media compliance. 
    • The responsibility for the management of our UKIE Corporate Website.

 

  • External Affairs
    • Supporting the leadership team with external engagement and representing LEO Pharma in key industry dermatology groups.


This role offers: 

 

  • The opportunity to lead the Communications strategy and development within the affiliate, working with and reporting directly to the UKIE Leadership Team to make a significant impact within the business. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the company's narrative and engaging our key stakeholders.

 

  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global communications, marketing, medical, and compliance. This will provide you with a broader understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and allow you to build strong relationships with colleagues from various backgrounds.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications and experience: 

 

  • Experience in strategic pharmaceutical corporate communications & internal communications 
  • Strong understanding of the ABPI code
  • Proficient with digital platforms and tools to effectively disseminate information, including LinkedIn and website management experience
  • Experience in managing external agencies 
  • Previous experience working with and developing support materials for patients
  • Managing content approval, examination & certification through PromoMats
