You new role
This role is dynamic, pro-active, strategic, and fast-paced, providing a high-quality Affiliate Medical Information service to the UK IE Affiliate Global Medical Affairs Team, Healthcare professionals, patients and other stakeholders. It involves working in close collaboration with other teams and across the UK IE affiliate, Global Medical Information (GMI) colleagues and Outsourcing vendor and Healthcare Professionals.
Competitive Medical Information Strategy:
- Provide high level scientific input, by delivering an expert bibliographic service, including in-depth searches, literature analysis/reviews, bibliometric evaluation, providing evidence-based answers and analysis aligned to the local Medical Affairs and Commercial strategy where relevant.
- Support the growth of the business by identifying, analysing and reporting trends in local medical and scientific insights (including medical enquiries) to relevant local Medical Affairs, other local stakeholders and GMI.
- Assess the need to update or build scientific materials (local standard responses, local training materials etc).
- Inform LEO Pharma materials, processes and business decisions.
- Develop innovative high-value initiatives to support local Medical Affairs and local business activities and interaction with customers, for example launch and maintenance of the LEO Pharma MI Website and other innovative digital platforms.
Medical Information
- Provision of timely, accurate, appropriate and clear verbal and written information in response to relative product enquiries or therapy area from the Outsourcing vendor or others in order to facilitate the appropriate, effective, safe and continued use of these products.
- Legal Medical Regulatory (LMR) Reviews (copy approval) – technical review of local material (Medical and Commercial), ensuring it has been correctly interpreted from scientific and other relevant medical references/materials.
- Create and maintain Affiliate Data on File and clinical summaries as required.
Congress
- Lead Medical Information/Scientific Information Booth activities at Local Congress and Global Congress where relevant. This will include the provision of face-to-face balanced and non-promotional scientific information on all LEO Pharma marketed and pipeline products to Congress attendees including but not limited to Key LEO Pharma Stakeholders/Healthcare Professionals. Ensure that all interactions are logged, tracked and closed in the Global Medical Information Database.
Global Medical Information
- Actively contribute and develop the Global Medical Information strategy and department activities, including participation in GMI projects and tasks as required
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with other global LEO Pharma Medical Information colleagues to build synergies and help drive efficiencies.
- Support and assist the Global Medical Information Regions’ Team Manager and Local Country Medical Director as required.
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
- Scientific Degree level or equivalent
- Significant experience in a Senior Medical Information role within the Pharmaceutical industry is required.
- A strong and high level of scientific knowledge to be able to analyse data from all types of published and non-published sources
- Proven technical/scientific writing skills and communication
- In-depth knowledge and efficiency in Medical Information systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
