Role Description

Drive specialty pharmacy and trade execution that enables seamless patient access. 

Execute LEO Pharma’s U.S. distribution strategy across wholesale, retail, and specialty pharmacy channels, partnering cross‑functionally to support trade relationships, copay programs, and patient access. 

 

 

Your Role: 

The Senior Manager, Specialty Pharmacy & Trade Relations oversees and measures execution of LEO Pharma’s U.S. distribution strategy across wholesale, retail, and specialty pharmacy channels to ensure strong service and support outcomes. This role manages internal and external requests, monitors in‑channel supply and risk, and leverages innovative customer service capabilities. In close partnership with cross‑functional teams, this role also leads the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of copay assistance programs. 

 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Support the team and function as their backup in the management of relationships with wholesalers / specialty pharmacies / copay vendors as appropriate, as well as collaboration with home office teams. 

  • Maintain an integrated business plan, which explores specialty and retail pharmacy opportunities and monitors contract progress and performance. 

  • Measure program performance on a monthly / quarterly basis, communicating results to leadership, Patient Access and Patient Engagement teams. 

  • Actively participate in cross-functional efforts to address broad-based customer service needs and ensure implementation of solutions. 

  • Develop and execute account-based product distribution / new product launches and inventory management plans aligned to current and future brand strategy, including gross/net financial goals. Such initiatives include: implementation of IDN strategy related pharmacy contracts and GPO related strategic initiatives.

  • Oversee daily operations of copay assistance programs across all brands (both pharmacy and medical benefit).

  • Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure seamless claims processing and reimbursement.

  • Monitor patient and pharmacy utilization trends to optimize program effectiveness, along with identifying opportunities to enhance patient affordability and improve adherence.

  • Ensure data integrity and adequate data flows between the company and distribution vendors and trade partners; develop and disseminate distribution related analytics and reporting to ensure accurate information and timeliness. 

  • Execute distribution related policies and procedures as needed within channel, including monitoring and management of 340B accounts. 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 

  • PharmD is a plus  

  • 5+ years’ pharma industry experience with 2+ years of specialty pharmacy experience (preferred) 

  • Experience in dermatology or dermatology specialty pharmacy a plus. 

  • Strong understanding of specialty distribution processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements; experience working with a sales force  

  • Ability to travel overnight 20% (travel consists of working with field sales, attending business meetings, industry meetings, and working with key customers) 

  • Managed market, specialty pharmacy and trade/supply chain account relationships a strong plus

Compensation:  

The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
