Your Role: 

As Senior Director, U.S. Field Medical, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership to all MSLs and MOLs, ensuring strong alignment between Scientific Affairs, cross‑functional partners, and the U.S. affiliate. You will oversee all field medical activities supporting marketed products and products in development, upholding the highest standards of ethics and compliance. 

 

This is a field-based role in Madison, NJ.  

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, develop, and manage the full U.S. MSL and MOL organization, including hiring, coaching/training, field direction, motivation, territory alignment, and ongoing performance reviews. 

  • Drive scientific and medical communications for all marketed and pipeline products; ensure compliant, accurate, and balanced scientific exchange across all field activities. 

  • Oversee field operations, including travel and expense approvals, team readiness for scientific meetings/conventions, clinical data presentations, and external engagements. 

  • Provide strategic leadership across training, resources, and development, collaborating with Scientific Affairs and cross‑functional partners to ensure strong therapeutic area knowledge and field capability. 

  • Lead Field Medical strategic planning, including budget development/management, KOL mapping and engagement strategy, and thought‑leader relationship development at regional and national levels. 

  • Oversee Field Medical clinical support, including IIS management, milestone tracking, US clinical study support, research site identification, and communication with investigators. 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD required. 

  • MSL experience and 5+ years management experience preferred.  

  • Skilled in reviewing, interpreting, and presenting medical and technical information 

  • Ability to influence key decision-makers and communicate effectively across stakeholders.  

  • This role requires ~60% national travel, monthly travel to the home office if field-based, residence within 45 minutes of a major U.S. airport, and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

You will join a collaborative, high-performing Scientific Affairs organization committed to advancing dermatology through credible scientific exchange, clinical expertise, and strong partnerships. Your MSL and MOL teams are dedicated clinicians who support thought leadership, research excellence, and field insights that guide LEO Pharma’s mission and strategic direction. You will report directly to the Vice President, Medical Affairs.  

 

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
