Role Description

Your Role

This role will support the Medical Affairs function in North America by providing scientific expertise in the organization’s activities related to marketed products and their development. The Project Manager will work closely with the VP, Medical Affairs, North America, focusing on the review and/or support of the medical aspect of LEO projects and initiatives, interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders, analyzing data, and generating reports. The Project Manager will be responsible for the tactical development of a project plan and effective management of project execution, aligning with strategy and goals of Medical Affairs, North America. This role will also be responsible for budget tracking and analysis, and will develop presentations and documents related to assigned projects to be shown to the ELT and GLT.
This is a hybrid role, based out of our Madison, NJ office, reporting to the VP, Medical Affairs.

 

Your Responsibilities

Project Management and Coordination:
•    Plans, coordinates, implements, executes and ensures timely completion of monthly Medical Affairs, North America workstream meetings and specific projects as directed by manager
•    Coordinates communication with internal and external stakeholders relative to project
•    Coordinates, prioritizes, and manages personal workload with ability to provide collaborative assistance to other team members, as needed


Scientific Presentations and Documentation:
•    Coordinates and contributes to the creation of scientific presentations and other materials for internal stakeholders
•    Prepares and maintains incoming and outgoing project-related correspondence and documentation


Budget and Vendor Management:
•    Tracks budget and manages payments for assigned projects and engagements
•    Manages processes with external vendors, as needed 


Support and Collaboration:
•    Provides support to field medical and HEOR activities through regular meetings with the leadership teams
•    Collaborates with team members in the planning of medical conferences and execution of activities
•    Supports the setup, coordination, project and vendor management of LEO Phase IV research initiatives
•    Collaborates with Commercial and Global teams to translate/share the activities of the NAMA function on a regular basis

 

Your Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required; MA/MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred 
•    3+ years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry in Medical/Scientific Affairs or Medical Information
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Demonstrable project management experience or relevant qualification with ability to meet timelines, solve problems, and produce quality results within given timelines
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
•    Ability to comprehend and present scientific information to audiences of different backgrounds and levels of understanding
•    Capable of working both independently and collaboratively 
•    Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
•    Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required; prior experience in MS Projects is a plus.
•    Knowledge of current pharmaceutical industry practices, guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations. The ability to ensure compliance with LEO SOPs (and applicable laws and regulations).
•    Ability to travel up to 10% nationally.
