Role Description
Your Role
The Manager, Medical Education, supports the planning and execution of medical communications aligned with the North America Medical Affairs (NAMA) strategy across the portfolio. This role is responsible for assisting in the development of compliant scientific materials for KOL interactions, disease education content, internal communication tools, and training materials. The role focuses on US-based initiatives with potential North America and global adaptation, collaborates cross-functionally, and contributes to process improvements to enhance medical education content.
Your Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and execution of the Medical Education & Training strategy and plan for assigned therapeutic area(s) in alignment with NAMA objectives.
• Contribute to the creation of scientific content for major med-ical meetings, including disease state presentations and train-ing materials.
• Analyze current literature to identify gaps in disease state or therapeutic area knowledge and ensure alignment with medi-cal education initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across NAMA & Global to sup-port deliverables.
• Track and analyze insights, KPIs, metrics, and other outcome measures to evaluate and refine Medical Education materials and plans.
• Gather intelligence on competitors and perform critical anal-yses to inform medical education strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify trends in cus-tomer needs and prioritize education gaps.
• Support the review and management of Medical Education disease state content
• Maintain and organize medical education resources, including training modules and disease state content
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and company guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Employ continuous quality improvement techniques to assess the impact of medical education initiatives and support refin-ing the strategy, as needed.
• Coordinate with medical education vendors, as needed
• Support the development of social media content to amplify the reach of medical education initiatives and disease state awareness efforts.
Your Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (PharmD or PhD) in biosciences or related fields is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience supporting the creation of Medical Education materials
• Experience in launch planning and execution of launch related Medical/Medical Communications tactics preferred
• Ability to conduct focused literature searches on topics relevant to LEO Pharma disease areas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong formal presentation skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
• Customer-focused and growth-oriented mindset
• Medical communications vendor management experience
• Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams
• Ability to travel approximately 20% (including to major congresses)
The base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $155,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
