Your Role:
The Director of Market Access Insights will establish and lead a new market access analytics capability, delivering payer and patient-level insights that improve access visibility, patient affordability understanding, and commercial decision-making. This role is highly hands-on and focused on building standardized reports, analytics, and insights using claims and formulary data, with emphasis on payer and patient performance across Commercial, Medicare Part D, LIS, and Medicaid populations.
This is a hybrid role, based out of LEO’s Madison, NJ office.
Your Responsibilities:

Build the market access insights function from the ground up, including data pipelines, reporting standards, and recurring insight delivery.

Develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards that track: claims paid, reversed, and rejected rates, reasons for claim rejections and reversals, patient out-of-pocket (OOP) and affordability metrics, time to therapy and access friction indicators, and analyze formulary coverage and access performance by: Payer, Channel, Payment type.

Deliver access and claims insights segmented by: Commercial, Medicare Part D and Medicaid.

Identify access barriers and variability across payer types and patient segments.

Partner with Commercial and Market Access stakeholders to interpret analytics and inform tactical decision-making.

Perform hands-on analysis using patient claims and formulary data.

Lead data bridging and alignment across: LAAD patient claims data, MMIT formulary and coverage data, and IQVIA sales data (for access-performance context).

Establish consistent definitions and methodologies to ensure credibility and repeatability of access insights.

Define access analytics requirements, documentation, and best practices.

Partner with Data Management to ensure data quality, governance, and scalability.

Collaborate with external vendors for data ingestion and execution while retaining internal ownership of analytics and insights.

Design reporting outputs that are executive-ready and decision-oriented.
Your Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Quantitative Discipline (Economics, Operations Research, or Computer Science).

8–10 years of experience in market access analytics, payer analytics, or healthcare data analytics within pharma or life sciences.

Expertise with at least one statistical analysis platform such as SAS, R, or Python. (Hands-On Experience Required).

Experience working directly with: LAAD patient claims data, MMIT formulary and coverage data, IQVIA Rx data.

Hands-on experience analyzing patient claims, rejection/reversal rates, and OOP metrics.

Proven experience bridging and reconciling data across claims, formulary, and sales sources.

Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) preferred.

Strong analytical mindset with a track record of building analytics capabilities in ambiguous, lean environments.

Deep understanding of U.S. market access dynamics from an analytics and data perspective.

Ability to translate complex access data into clear, actionable insights.

Strong communication skills and experience presenting insights to cross-functional stakeholders.

High attention to data accuracy, consistency, and analytical rigor.
The base salary range for this position is $205,000 - $250,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
