Role Description
The Director, Forecasting, Performance & Brand Analytics leads an integrated forecasting and analytics capability that enables data‑driven commercial and portfolio decision‑making, with a strong focus on patient‑centric and access‑informed insights. The role delivers robust demand forecasts, standardized performance measurement, and advanced patient and brand insights across the portfolio. It partners closely with Commercial, Market Access, and Data & Digital teams and requires a balanced blend of strategic leadership and hands‑on analytical execution.
This is a hybrid role, based out of LEO’s Madison, NJ office.
Your Responsibilities:

Establish and lead a best-in-class forecasting capability, including methodologies, assumptions, governance, and documentation standards, and continuously improve forecast accuracy through performance tracking, post‑launch learning, and structured feedback loops.

Own brand‑level demand forecasts incorporating patient dynamics, access environment, promotional drivers, and competitive landscape, and ensure alignment and consistency across Marketing, Sales, and Finance stakeholders.

Develop scenario, sensitivity, and what‑if analyses to inform business planning, strategic choices, and leadership discussions, and oversee external forecasting vendors while maintaining full internal ownership of assumptions, insights, and recommendations.

Design and own standardized brand performance measurement frameworks and deliver executive‑ready dashboards and insights to support Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and ad‑hoc leadership needs.

Lead variance and root‑cause analyses linking actual performance to forecast assumptions, patient dynamics, and executional drivers, and translate analytical findings into concise, decision‑oriented narratives for senior leadership.

Lead patient‑level analytics including line of therapy, patient journey, new vs. continuing patients, switching, persistence, and adherence, and deliver segmentation and deep‑dive analyses incorporating predictive modeling and machine learning to uncover growth drivers, risks, and opportunities.

Conduct hands‑on analytics using syndicated and patient‑level data (IQVIA NPA, LAAD, DDD, claims, access data) and reconcile patient, sales, and audit perspectives into a single source of brand performance truth.

Partner with Data Management to ensure data quality, scalability, and analytical reliability, establish analytical standards, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Market Access as a thought partner to convert insights into actionable strategies.
Your Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Quantitative Discipline (Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Computer Science ) required.

8–12+ years of experience in forecasting, brand analytics, performance analytics, or commercial analytics within pharmaceutical or life sciences organizations.

Demonstrated success building or significantly enhancing brand/commercial analytics capabilities with strong expertise in patient analytics, including line of therapy and patient journey analysis.

Strong strategic and analytical mindset with high standards for rigor, data integrity, and business judgment.

Proven ability to operate effectively in a build-from-scratch, resource-constrained environment.

Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights, along with a collaborative leadership style with a strong ability to influence across functions.

Advanced proficiency with at least one statistical analysis platform such as SAS, R, or Python (Hands-On Experience Required) for analytics, automation, and advanced data processing.

Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau and hands-on experience with LAAD claims, IQVIA xPonent, DDD, and NPA audit data.
The base salary range for this position is $205,000 - $250,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
