Shape the Future of Commercial Data

Join LEO Pharma as our Director, Commercial Data Management and lead the strategy, governance, and quality of the data that powers commercial decision-making and growth.

Your Role:

The Director, Commercial Data Management is a strategic leadership role within the Commercial Operations & Analytics organization, accountable for designing, building, and continuously improving enterprise-wide commercial data management, data quality, and data governance capabilities across the full data lifecycle. The individual will shape the vision, operating model, and best practices for how LEO Pharma's U.S. commercial organization acquires, governs, integrates, and stewards its data assets — ensuring they are accurate, consistent, complete, and reliable to power downstream commercial processes and analytics.

This is a hybrid role, based out of LEO’s Madison, NJ office.

Your Responsibilities:

Data Strategy & Vision

  • Own and articulate LEO Pharma’s commercial data management, master data, and data quality strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, commercial growth priorities, and stakeholder needs.

  • Define where the organization should invest, which data assets to prioritize, and how to unlock greater business value from commercial data.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on how data can inform decisions and improve business outcomes.

Commercial Data Lifecycle, Governance & Quality Management

  • Lead the strategy and ongoing management of LEO Pharma's commercial data lifecycle, data ownership framework, and data quality objectives.

  • Own the commercial master data management strategy, including business glossary, data dictionary, and data lineage.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on data standards, quality expectations, governance, and vendor performance.

Technology, Automation & Innovation

  • Leverage automation, AI/ML-enabled capabilities, and scalable platforms to modernize commercial data management and data quality processes.

  • Partner with IT and innovation leaders to enhance commercial data platforms and establish data readiness standards for AI-enabled analytics.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between commercial business teams, functional partners, and IT to define critical data requirements and business use cases.

  • Translate stakeholder needs into scalable data solutions that improve adoption, trust, and business impact.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight for the Commercial Data Management team across data architecture, governance, quality, and analytics enablement.

  • Build and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Champion a data-first mindset across the organization, balancing innovation with governance and measurable business value.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Life Sciences); Masters degree strongly preferred.

  • 15+ years of industry-related experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry (preferred), with deep expertise in commercial data management, data quality, and data governance.

  • 3 -5+ years of leadership responsibilities, including direct people management of multi-person teams across data architecture, data quality, and analytics enablement disciplines.

  • Experience managing and optimizing IQVIA syndicated datasets, SP/SD data feeds, independent pharmacy buy data, LAAD, and other third-party commercial data assets.

  • Experience working across commercial data operations, analytics, and reporting environments, supporting portfolios spanning multiple products and therapeutic areas.

  • Experience supporting commercial data operations, analytics, and reporting across multiple products and therapeutic areas.

  • Experience leading data governance programs, including master data management (MDM), business glossary development, and data lineage documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Up to 10% travel required based on business needs.
