Role Description

Your Role
As Corporate Counsel, you will champion the continued growth of Region US as an integral member of the North American Legal & Compliance team, delivering strategic oversight and expert guidance as the primary legal representative for the promotional review of LEO Pharma’s cutting-edge product portfolio. This role will assist with all legal activities in the US Region, and will help prepare the organization to execute on the 2030 strategy, with primary responsibility for providing legal support for the team responsible for pipeline products.
 
Your Responsibilities
•    Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of matters related to the advertising and promotion of pharmaceutical products. Serve as the legal representative on internal committees, reviewing materials such as product information, disease awareness campaigns, patient education, support programs, press releases, and more to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, as well as alignment with internal company policies.
•    Offer strategic guidance on pre-launch and launch activities for LEO Pharma products, ensuring compliance and success throughout their lifecycle.
•    Deliver strategic legal counsel to support business objectives and drive informed decision-making processes. 
•    Work collaboratively with Legal & Compliance colleagues to deliver comprehensive legal support to the organization. 
•    Offer expert legal guidance to LEO Affiliates conducting activities within the US market.
•    Support internal investigations into potential violations of company policies or the LEO Code of Conduct, ensuring thorough and compliant resolutions.
•    As necessary, draft, review, and negotiate contracts to support business needs and ensure favorable outcomes.
•    Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations, proactively monitoring changes that could impact the organization.
•    Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, including due diligence and integration efforts.
•    Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures to strengthen the Company’s Compliance program.
    
Your Qualifications
•  
 Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
•    Proven in-house legal experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences company.
•    Experience with biologics and/or rare disease products preferred.
•    Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
•    Collaborative team player with a demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects.
•    Strong strategic mindset with a results-driven focus.

•    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

 

The base salary range for this position is $167,000 - $225,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
