Your Role

 The Associate Medical Director will support the development and execution of U.S. medical strategy and tactics for Tralokinumab in Atopic Dermatitis. The individual will provide medical and scientific expertise for core scientific affairs activities, including data generation and communication, competitive landscape analysis, insight gathering, and Key Opinion Leader engagement. The role will collaborate cross-functionally with commercial colleagues to provide medical input into brand and tactical planning and will partner with global medical teams to support U.S. development, commercialization, and lifecycle management activities for eczema compounds. This position may provide mentoring or matrix guidance to colleagues and contribute to a high-performing, compliant, and collaborative team environment. 

This is a hybrid role, based out of LEO's Madison, NJ office.

Your Responsibilities 

•    Support the development and execution of the U.S. medical strategy and tactical plans for Tralokinumab in Atopic Dermatitis. 
•    Provide medical/scientific expertise for core scientific affairs activities, including data generation, scientific communication, competitive landscape analysis, and insight utilization. 
•    Help establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and support medically appropriate external interactions. 
•    Provide medical input into brand plans, launch plans, lifecycle plans, and other cross-functional initiatives. 
•    Contribute to publication planning and execution across the product lifecycle in collaboration with local and global teams. 
•    Review medical content and documents requiring scientific input, including proposals, protocols, manuscripts, posters, and standard response materials. 
•    Contribute medical expertise to cross-functional activities involving regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, health economics, and related functions, as appropriate.
•    Support the planning and execution of U.S. medical advisory boards and other scientific engagement activities. 
•    Present medical data at internal and external meetings and support training for internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, external audiences. 
•    Gather and communicate competitive intelligence and emerging medical insights to relevant internal stakeholders. 
•    Contribute to LEO Pharma’s patient-centric approach by helping identify and explore unmet patient needs. 
•    Assist in identifying U.S. medical needs and scientific gaps and support the enhancement of scientific affairs activities. 
•    Manage assigned projects and, where applicable, components of the scientific affairs budget.

Your Qualifications

•    7+ years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research. 
•    PhD, PharmD required, Medical degree preferred, experience in Dermatology
•    Strong understanding of clinical development programs, compliance expectations, and regulatory requirements.
•    Experience supporting advisory boards, scientific exchange, and publication planning.
•    Experience developing, reviewing, understanding, and presenting clinical and scientific information to varied audiences.
•    Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional partners, including commercial, legal, regulatory, and medical communications.
•    Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed environment. This reflects the original emphasis on collaboration and leadership in a global cross-functional environment, but with less emphasis on formal leadership. 
•    Ability to travel (up to 25%).

The base salary for this position ranges from $180,000-$230,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
