Role Description

Authority:

This role will include insight discovery, product positioning, strategy, and tactical development, to support branded campaign messaging and execution for US promotion. The role requires strong marketing execution, communication, and decision-making skills, change agility, and a proven track record of success working in a team-based environment with multiple marketing, sales, medical, and other cross-functional partners. Additional responsibilities will include input into market development activities such as advocacy development, promotional medical education initiatives, advisory boards, US congress oversight, KOL/stakeholder engagement planning, and serving as US region point of contact for LEO Global Marketing.   

 

Overall Objective: 

Collaborate with the Global CHE team and other key stakeholders to ensure that tralokinumab marketing strategy is aligned to and supportive of the overall commercial strategy.  

 

Role & Responsibilities: 

The holder of the position is responsible for:

  • Develop strategy and lead implementation of innovative HCP marketing tactics and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead market development strategy and programming for HCPs.

  • Drive the development and activation of a new HCP campaign, including identification of new customer insights, positioning/targeting strategy, messaging and creative concept testing

  • Lead Journey Orchestration process and framework creation for the team and foster optimal HCP customer experience

  • Devise and execute coordinated customer engagement plan addressing diverse content development needs delivered across an integrated network of digital, remote, and in-person selling

  • Spearhead development of brand launch material to support day 1 commercialization and enable HCP product adoption

  • Establishing strong relationships with global and US opinion leaders to establish LEO as an important partner in treating CHE, and to obtain disease, clinical and market insights

  • Serve as a primary liaison with Sales and lead for training in support of the launch

  • Develop presentations for management and internal stakeholders on key brand priorities, initiatives and brand plans

  • Serve as owner of HCP AOR agency relationship, managing budget and SOWs. Effectively managing key vendor relationships

  • Partner with promo med ed on  key scientific congresses & convention initiatives (e.g. booth assets and promotional med ed speaker programs, etc.), meeting with KOLs and advocacy partners.  

  • Lead and participate in advisory boards, and attend scientific sessions

  • Establishing engaging, productive and sustainable work relationships with key internal stakeholders incl. Marketing colleagues, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Market Access, Analytics, Sales, Sales Operations, and key global functions

  • Contribute to business development/life-cycle management projects as needed   

  • Completing all company-based and job-related training as assigned by LEO Pharma within the required timelines

  • Additional duties as assigned by LEO Pharma Management

Requirements: 

  • BS Degree Required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable

  • 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience including marketing

  • Previous product launch and in-line US Marketing experience preferred

  • Dermatology experience required

  • Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance

  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.

  • Experience with product positioning and branding is required

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups.

  • Self-motivated and a team player.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead and influence an indirect team

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to effectively lead a collaborative team environment.

  • Must be able to organize multiple projects over time

  • Strong Presentation skills

  • Agency or vendor management experience required

  • Strong collaborative, strategic and tactical marketing skills

  • Demonstrated organizational savvy and self-awareness

  • Planning, process and results oriented

  • Technology savvy, business oriented and nimble learning abilities required

  • The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 25%)
