Role Description

Overall Objective: 

This role will be responsible for generating and communicating HEOR and RWE evidence to support relevant value propositions for in-line and pipeline LEO assets in medical dermatology.  This individual will provide strategic and operational support of US HEOR objectives.  

 

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership in the development of evidence and value propositions to support Market Access and Medical strategies for LEO assets with focus on unmet medical need, treatment outcomes, and competitive economic advantage and additional value differentiators.
  • Execute HEOR and RWE studies in support of in-line and pipeline LEO assets.
  • Develop proactive and responsive field materials to support communication of value propositions of LEO assets.
  • Collaborate with US and global functions, including Medical Affairs, MAPS, Marketing as well as external vendors and thought leaders to execute HEOR strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure strategic alignment with other business areas by participating in US and global workstreams.
  • Lead publication efforts in collaboration with Scientific Communications colleagues to deliver high quality peer-reviewed publications in support of LEO assets.
  • Provide input into the development of HEOR strategies and objectives for annual planning.
  • Require high levels of key account and thought leader management including consultation with customers on comparative effectiveness, place in therapy, appropriate use, health outcomes, and value-based contracting for LEO assets.
  • Provide project and vendor management support, including RFP, SOW, vendor selection, legal & compliance issues, and budget tracking.
  • Assist in the training of field-based Health Outcomes, Account Managers, and other LEO personnel regarding health outcomes research and pharmacoeconomic data, in addition to disease state management, managed care, and product knowledge.
  • Communicate project activities and provide regular updates to key internal stakeholders.
  • Provide a credible scientific bridge between LEO and health care system decision makers in Managed Care, Medicare and institutional settings by providing scientific, HEOR and pharacoeconomic support for LEO assets and disease states in Dermatology.

Requirements: 

  • Terminal or Doctorate degree with relevant experience required. PharmD/PhD/MD is required; Fellowship training highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7+ years post-graduate HEOR experience in a managed care setting and/or pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Experience in dermatology is highly desirable.
  • High degree of proficiency in analytical skills, with specific focus on development of Budget Impact Models, Cost-effectiveness analyses, and other economic tools.  
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals and presentation of abstracts at congresses is required. 
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and executing on HEOR protocol elements within phase IIIB/IV/NIS programs.
  • Demonstrated business and scientific acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific information to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Ability to travel overnight ~20% of the time required.
  • Thorough understanding of and adherence to all relevant LEO, state, and federal policies.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
