Senior AI Application Engineer

Your role
We are now looking for a curious, entrepreneurial Full-Stack AI Application Engineer who wants to build reliable, user-focused AI applications from prototype to production - and grow into a technical leader over time.
Key responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, tRPC, and Drizzle.

Contribute to and help evolve a mono-repo architecture supporting multiple AI-powered products used across LEO Pharma.

Turn AI capabilities, data products, and model outputs into intuitive, scalable, and reliable user experiences in close collaboration with AI engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

Take increasing ownership of features and services end-to-end—from data modeling and APIs to frontend deployment.

Help bring AI solutions safely into everyday use by focusing on usability, observability, maintainability, and robust engineering practices.

Continuously improve code quality, architecture, and developer experience as the platform grows.

Learn modern software engineering practices through hands-on mentorship from a senior software engineer, with a clear path toward greater technical responsibility and influence.
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Next.js, tRPC, Drizzle, or similar full-stack TypeScript frameworks.

Experience building AI-enabled products, internal tools, agents, copilots, retrieval-based applications, or other data-driven user experiences.Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, evaluation workflows, or integrating AI services into web applications.

Experience working in or contributing to a shared codebase.

A public GitHub profile or examples of personal, academic, or professional projects.

Entrepreneurial side projects, hackathons, or strong hobby work demonstrating initiative.

A commitment to clean, maintainable code, clear technical communication, and pragmatic product thinking
