As Insurance Specialist, you will be LEO Pharma’s subject matter expert on insurance-related matters. Working closely with the Group Risk Manager, you will help maintain and optimize insurance programs across our global business.

Your role

• Handling insurance claims, particularly within marine cargo, liability, and business travel.
• Reviewing liability, insurance, and indemnity language in commercial contracts.
• Supporting subsidiaries with local insurance policies, claims, and insurance-related queries.
• Managing insurance-related invoices, cost overviews, and forecasts.
• Supporting annual renewals of Danish insurance lines and global insurance programs.
• Collaborating with insurers, brokers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to implement and maintain insurance programs.
• Analyzing insurance policies, risk information, and claims data to provide actionable insights.

Your qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Around 5 years of experience within insurance, risk management, or insurance brokerage.
• Experience managing claims, preferably within marine cargo.
• Experience reviewing insurance, liability, and indemnity clauses in commercial agreements.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

As a person, you are collaborative and supportive, with a strong customer-oriented mindset. You are detail-oriented in your approach to claims, contracts, documentation, and data. You enjoy working with complex matters, building trusted relationships, and translating insurance expertise into practical, commercially sound advice.

Your new team

You will work closely with the Group Risk Manager and collaborate across Global Legal & Compliance, Finance, affiliates, and subsidiaries. Externally, you will engage with insurance companies, brokers, and consultants. You can expect a role with broad exposure, global touchpoints, and the opportunity to make a visible contribution in an organization guided by simplification, collaboration, and accountability.
