Your role
We're seeking a skilled WordPress VIP Backend Developer with full-stack capabilities to architect, develop, and maintain our enterprise-grade WordPress VIP platforms. This role emphasizes WordPress VIP's enterprise features, custom plugin development, and seamless integrations at scale. You will take ownership of WordPress VIP infrastructure, custom backend solutions, and enterprise integrations from conception through deployment, ensuring our platforms meet pharmaceutical industry compliance standards while delivering exceptional performance globally.
Key responsibilities:

Architect WordPress VIP Solutions: Design and implement enterprise-grade WordPress VIP architectures, leveraging VIP's built-in scaling, security, and performance features

Develop Custom Backend Solutions: Build WordPress plugins, custom post types, and backend services tailored for pharmaceutical marketing and compliance needs

Multi-site Management: Architect and maintain WordPress VIP multisite networks supporting global operations with region-specific compliance requirements

Enterprise System Integration: Create robust integrations between WordPress VIP and enterprise systems (Salesforce, Veeva, DAM systems) using REST/GraphQL APIs and WordPress VIP's enterprise connectors

WordPress VIP Optimization: Implement WordPress VIP best practices, including VIP-specific caching strategies, database optimization, and leveraging VIP's CDN and security features. Collaborate with analytics and marketing teams to embed tracking, A/B testing, and SEO-ready features at the code level. Monitor and improve scalability, uptime, and performance

DevOps Integration: Manage WordPress VIP deployment pipelines, staging environments, and integrate with existing CI/CD workflows

Documentation & Support: Produce technical documentation, operating playbooks, and integration specs for internal and vendor teams
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or similar

Proven experience developing for WordPress VIP platform, including enterprise-grade plugin development and VIP-specific optimization techniques

Strong programming skills in PHP (WordPress core), with additional experience in Node.js, Python, or C# for enterprise integrations

Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js) for custom WordPress admin interfaces and headless WordPress implementations

Experience designing scalable WordPress solutions for large organizations, including multisite networks and custom database schemas. Experience in migrating CMS systems is an advantage

Expertise in API design and integration, authentication, and security best practices.

Familiarity with DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
