Your Role

As an External Manufacturing Lead, you are accountable for overall supply performance of assigned external suppliers within LEO’s External Manufacturing network. In this role, you work with key functions within LEO and the supplier to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to customer and patients at the most effective cost.

 

This is a unique role that will be central to delivering LEO's ambitious financial targets in the coming years. As a result, the role has the potential for significant career developmental opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

 

  • Drive and maintain compliance with internal and external requirements, ensuring adherence to commercial contracts to according to cGMP, GDP, other regulatory and SOX requirements
  • Manage purchase orders, supply forecasts, and inventory to ensure a balance between global demand and supply
  • Ensure efficient inventory management of externally manufactured owned products
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations and facilitate the process to resolve complex issues
  • Implement EXMAN processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Pulse, Review, Escalation, Change Management etc)
  • Performance and ownership of risk management and delivery of mitigation plans associated with supply performance, or compliance with supplier


Your Qualifications

We imagine that you have extensive experience in and demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry usually including experience in at least three of the following areas. External manufacturing experience at another company may substitute for 1 of these fields.

 

  • Manufacturing management
  • Science Leadership
  • Supplier Management,
  • Project Management
  • Supply Chain management, pharmaceutical development


To succeed in the role, you have:

  • A BSc degree in engineering, pharmacy, chemistry, or a related science or business field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable strong manufacturing experience in a related area
  • Understanding of quality principles and GMP requirements
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills
  • Supply Chain Planning skills (supplier/production planning and/or End-To-End tactical supply & demand planning)
  • Lean Manufacturing/OpEX/CI Experience and/or Six Sigma Black Belt would be advantageous
