Join us in creating a future legacy in medical dermatology
At LEO Pharma, our mission transcends the conventional. We're on an ambitious path to become the leaders in medical dermatology worldwide. If you're ready to make a difference, this role is your gateway to a world of opportunities!
In the Global IT Support & Services department, we share a “challenge accepted” mindset and are guided by our winning behaviours of simplification, collaboration, and accountability, to achieve our goals.
Your role
As Senior IT Technician, you will take responsibility for supporting and maintaining LEO Pharma’s IT systems within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. Your work will ensure compliance, efficiency, and reliability across critical manufacturing, research, and quality control processes. You will combine strong technical expertise with an ability to engage directly with users, delivering solutions that protect operations and enable productivity.
Your key tasks
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, laboratory systems, and network infrastructure.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostics to minimize downtime in production and lab environments.
- Ensure IT operations comply with GMP, GAMP, and data integrity guidelines.
- Integrate and support specialized pharmaceutical applications and laboratory instruments.
- Assist with validation, qualification, and upgrades of computerized systems.
Further responsibilities include managing IP configuration, VLAN setup, network switches and ports, printer and mobile replacements, supporting global IT projects, and leading hardware refresh initiatives. You will also participate in on‑call support, including emergency interventions.
Your qualifications
You bring at least five years of IT experience in regulated industries, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical operations and compliance standards.
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field (formal master’s not required; extended technical training accepted).
- Experience in GMP‑compliant environments, including IT validation processes.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical laboratory systems and production PCs.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Practical knowledge of network configuration, VLANs, IP addressing, and equipment installation.
- Software experience with Intune and vSphere (desirable).
This role demands trust, accountability, and integrity in making IT decisions. You will enforce compliance politely yet firmly, safeguarding systems and data. Strong communication skills are essential to explain technical matters clearly to non‑technical colleagues, while balancing robust security with usability and operational productivity.
Your new team
You will join a small, agile field service team of two people, supporting approximately 65 colleagues across two sites - Dublin and Cork where there are 450 people working across. The team operates in a hybrid model, with Friday work‑from‑home and every second week travel to Cork (full driving licence required). You will work closely with manufacturing, QA, R&D, and global IT colleagues, contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and ongoing digital transformation projects.
