Your role

As our new Student Assistant, you will gain invaluable experience working with complex systems and data handling- an exceptional opportunity to accelerate your professional growth in a pharmaceutical context. You will also have the chance to gain hands-on experience in bioinformatics, deepen your understanding of the value chain, and develop expertise in managing clinical data within a regulated environment.

Your key responsibilities would include:

• Perform data analysis on omics datasets (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, lipidomics) using bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
• Develop and execute scripts in R for data processing, visualization, and statistical analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and generate actionable insights.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
• Stay updated on the latest bioinformatics tools, methods, and trends.

Your qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related field.
• Proficiency in R for data analysis and visualization.
• Familiarity with omics data analysis (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, lipidomics).
• Strong understanding of bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
• Basic understanding of molecular biology and biological systems.

On a personal level, you possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. Additionally, you thrive in a team-oriented environment, working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

Your new team

You will join the Department of Translational Sciences, where you will work with bioanalytical scientists, toxicologists, pharmacokineticists, pharmacologists, bioinformatics and nonclinical documentation specialist.
