Ready to make an impact in the life science sector and get hands-on experience with Public Affairs in a HQ function? As a policy-savvy student assistant in Public Affairs you will be fully embedded as a member of our team, working on the international agenda.
At LEO Pharma, we are on a mission to advance dermatology beyond the skin, and we seek a Student Assistant for our ESG, DE&I & Public Affairs team in LEO Pharma’s headquarter in Ballerup, Denmark.
You will be part of a dedicated ESG, DE&I & Public Affairs team tasked to strengthen LEO Pharma’s position as a trusted partner in the global life sciences industry in Denmark, the EU and our international markets.
Your Role
You will play an important role in helping to build LEO Pharma’s external profile, relationships with stakeholders, and amplify LEO Pharma’s voice externally.
Here’s what you will be working on, among other things:
- Assist in the development of Public Affairs positions.
- Help plan and execute stakeholder engagements with for instance Danish ministries and industry associations.
- Conduct desk research and prepare materials to support Public Affairs initiatives.
- Drive internal processes and structures in collaboration with colleagues plus execute and track admin tasks, e.g., purchase orders and invoicing.

Your Qualifications
We are looking for a student who is passionate about Public Affairs, stakeholder engagement, and making a difference in the life sciences sector.
We imagine you show a sincere interest in public affairs and come with these qualifications:
- Either you are towards to end of your bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a master’s degree - focussing on political sciences and/or political advocacy.
- You have experience from previous employment. If your previous job has given you knowledge related to Public Affairs, it will be an advantage. Moreover, knowledge related to commercial understanding is a plus, too.
- You are proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and desk research using search engines and AI tools.
- Professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is important as English is corporate language.

Workplace and time
You are expected to work out of Ballerup with occasional opportunity to work remotely and in respect of the time you need for studying and for exams. 15 hours/week allocated across 2-3 days/week during normal office hours with opportunity for being part of events into late afternoon or early evening.
