Strategic Project Manager for Emerging Markets

Your role

 

You will support the VP for Emerging Markets and the international leadership team to identify new opportunities, improve efficiency, and drive strategic initiatives across multiple countries and global functions. Leading your own key projects and driving strategic planning within the region, you will provide updates on progress and results to key stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to build international commercial experience and gain broad exposure to the global organization. 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate strategic alignment across Emerging Market affiliates, alliances, and functions in line with the area vision.
  • Provide operational support to the VP of Emerging Markets for Board, EVP, and Extended Global Leadership Team communications and reporting on strategy delivery and business development.
  • Lead and deliver key strategic projects, monitoring milestones and ensuring results, quality, and compliance.
  • Act as a collaborative bridge between Emerging Markets affiliates, external alliances, and global functions.
  • Ensure Leadership Team meeting time is focused on the organization’s strategic priorities.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to Emerging Markets Leadership Team operational effectiveness.

 

Your qualifications

 

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications/experience: 

 

  • Relevant degree or equivalent - Business Administration, Finance or Economics, Marketing or Commercial Excellence, International Business or MSc in Healthcare/Pharmaceutical Management or Strategy.
  • Significant commercial experience, ideally in sales, marketing or commercial excellence within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to evaluate ROI.
  • Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and developing business cases.
  • Project management track record delivering on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Results-driven with excellent cross‑functional and cross‑cultural awareness and a digital mindset.
  • Able to manage ambiguity and multiple global stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible to travel internationally as required (up to 40%).
