Experienced QC Chemist (Senior Professional) for our support function in the Quality laboratories

Your role

You will be the catalyst of solving tasks related to analytical methods (CMO or internal), projects or improvements. By familiarizing yourself with the issues and contributing with your professionalism, together with the necessary sparring from the other specialists in the department and organization, you will successfully solve the tasks at hand.

Associated tasks:

  • Ensure accordance with cGMP and regulatory requirements for all activities performed
  • Responsible for the daily operation, efficient workflows, and adherence to deadlines for CMO-produced drug substances
  • Analytical expert on methods applied in manufacturing processes at our CMO’s
  • Evaluate and ensure implementation of changes related to QC for our CMO’s 
  • Trouble shooting of OOS, OOT and deviations
  • Work to establish and maintain efficient and professional relationships with external analytical laboratories and production sites
  • Optimization of procedures both internal and external

LEO Pharma's own laboratory has a wide range of analytical equipment, covering chemical analysis, biochemical tests and microbiology. You will be collaborating with external partners and internal teams to make a meaningful impact on patients worldwide.

 

Your qualifications

We are looking for an individual who possesses true passion for analytical chemistry and are solidly academically well founded. You are outgoing, self-driven and a good collaborator. Furthermore we will be expecting you to have:

  • A Master of Science degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. 
  • Senior practical experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with QC and analytical chemistry.
  • Practical experience with OOS investigations, deviations and change control
  • Solid experience with GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Competencies in managing complex activities and optimizing work processes 
  • Experience with cross functional work with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC as well as common chemical methods like titrations, pH, pharmacopeial test etc. 

In addition to this, it will be important that you can communicate effectively in English and understand Danish/Scandinavian.
