To support this ambitious journey we are looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel to join our International Operations Legal & Compliance team within the Global Legal, IPR & Compliance department, where we share a “challenge accepted” mindset and are guided by our winning behaviours of simplification, collaboration, and accountability, to achieve our goals.

We are now looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel that can be a trusted legal business partner for our thrombosis business unit (TBU). In this role, you will support the business with strong legal advice paired with a sound business understanding and pragmatic mindset. You will be trusted with responsibility and freedom to perform, which requires a structured work approach, and as part of this, you know when to ask for support and guidance to keep things in motion.
 

Your role

As the Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be overall responsible for the legal operations within our thrombosis business unit (TBU) with the support of our many great colleagues and experts across the globe. 

Your main objectives will be to provide trusted legal advice, negotiate and draft agreements, handle disputes, manage legal risks, ensure competition law compliance, and optimize work processes within your area of responsibility:

•    Act as a trusted legal advisor to the TBU Leadership Team.
•    Negotiate and draft agreements, providing strategic and legal advice during negotiations and beyond.
•    Handle and resolve disputes, offering guidance on how to manage potential conflicts.
•    Implement legal risk management strategies to protect LEO Pharma’s rights and interests.
 

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications: 

•    Master of Laws or Master of Science in Business Administration and Commercial Law.
•    Experience from private law firm, life science and/or pharmaceutical industry; +5 years. 
•    Strong professional legal skills; solid understanding of the life science/ pharma industry overall.
•    Strong business acumen.
•    Solid negotiation and drafting skills; proven ability to work in a multicultural work setting.

As a person you have excellent communication skills and thrive when working in a collaborative environment.
 

Your new team

You will be joining a collaborative and dynamic team of legal and compliance professionals based across the globe and be a part of our International Operations Legal & Compliance team within Global Legal, IPR & Compliance, counting approximately 50 specialists.
