LEO Pharma is seeking an Analytical Senior Scientist to join our dynamic team in Ballerup. You will join our Preformulation and Formulations department. We are a team of 16 dedicated scientists and technicians passionate for developing topical formulations. We work closely together and across LEO Pharma to ensure the successful development of drug products.

Your Role
You will play a crucial role in the development of new topical formulations and drug products for clinical phases. You will be working with analysis and characterisation of new molecules and development and analysis of new products for the clinical trials.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering scientific work within CMC at the right quality level in LEO pipeline development projects.
• Responsible for in-house laboratory activities and instruments working with the following techniques (U)HPLC, SFC, LCMS, GC and GCMS.
• Developing analytical methods including LCMS methods for quantitative and qualitative purposes.
• Validating and documenting analytical methods, impurity profiles, stability tests, specifications, and reference substances.
• Evaluating and reporting results in electronic lab notes, as well as reviewing scientific reports.
• Author and reviewer of documentation for authorities, IMPD writing.
• Overseeing activities at CDMOs to ensure timely delivery of projects.

In addition to these tasks, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments within the organisation to contribute to the successful development of topical drug products. Your expertise and contributions will be essential in shaping the future of pharmaceutical development at LEO Pharma.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who is eager and curious to learn, possesses a positive attitude and is open minded.

Your Qualifications: 

• 5+ experience within analytical science and pre-formulation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Expert knowledge pre-formulation work and analytical development 
• Hands-on experience from an analytical laboratory in pharmaceutical development
• Solid understanding of analytical instruments and the ability to apply technical principles and theories.
• A relevant degree at Masters level or a PhD in analytical science, pre-formulation, or a related field.
