Medical Director for Global Clinical Development

You will be part of one of our two medical departments, that combined has around 20 Medical Doctors employed. We are part of the Global Clinical Development, which has around 120 colleagues all working with clinical development to help advance our drug development projects. We are obligated to bring innovative treatments to patients with dermatological conditions.

Your role
You will work in cross-functional teams together with colleagues from other areas working on clinical development project within medical dermatology. As a Medical Expert, you will play a crucial role in providing medical and strategic input.

Your main objectives will be to: 

• Advance our drug development projects together with your team and identify solutions to the various challenges that arise along the way.
• Responsible for the medical input to clinical trials from the very beginning, through the design, conduct and reporting of the trials. This involves working on trial outlines and protocols, trial reports, regulatory documents, investigator’s brochures and publications.
• Shape the strategic development of our drug development projects by driving the medical and scientific content of the Clinical Development Plan. 
• Assist our area develop further by updating our processes and ways of working.
• Represent LEO Pharma in interactions with external stakeholders, including investigators, therapeutic experts, and regulatory authorities.

You will be situated at LEO Pharma HQ in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen and related to your role there will be approximately 10 days of travel per year, to meet partners and colleagues, primarily in Europe and the US.

Your qualifications
We have just the role for you if, you thrive as part an entrepreneurial environment dedicated to medical dermatology. 

You will be presenting results and recommendations, therefore having the competencies to communicate and formulate to other parties is key in this role. 

Requirements to the position:

• A Medical degree (MD) combined with experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
• Clinical research experience, for example from a PhD.
• Experience within clinical drug development (either from sponsor or as an investigator). 
• Knowledge/experience within the field of medical dermatology or within the anti-inflammatory space.
