Role Description

LEO Pharma, a global pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients with skin conditions, is seeking a Medical Director to join our Translational Sciences team in Ballerup, Denmark. 


In this role, you will take part in designing early phase clinical trials, provide medical input and impacting pipeline projects, strategic directions and new innovation activities. Your role 


As a Medical Director within Translational Sciences, your overall objective will be to take on the role as Medical Lead within early development projects (up to Phase 2a), shape the clinical trials and strategy within projects, as well as provide medical dermatology input to disease strategy and insourcing of new projects. 


More in detail, your main tasks will include:


•    Design and shape clinical development plans within projects and participate in interactions with regulatory authorities
•    Design and act as medical expert on early phase clinical trials  (Ph1 & Ph2A) as well as for explorative clinical trials/studies to obtain disease understanding
•    Interact with Key Opinion Leaders within dermatology and proactively participate in ideation and evaluation of new innovation opportunities
•    Engage in cross-functional activities and impact disease strategy, indication selection and asset differentiation strategies within LEO Pharma

 

 

Your qualifications 


To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications: 


•    Medical degree with specialization within dermatology, preferably with a PhD or equivalent
•    Recent experience in treating dermatology patients
•    Track record of research activities, strong interest in science and understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms within dermatological indications
•    Experience in clinical trials and pharmaceutical drug development is considered a plus
