You will as Lead Corporate Counsel take part in this journey and be trusted to influence and assess many legal aspects as legal advisor to the global organization. 

 

You will join the R&D Legal & HQ Operations team within the Global Legal & Compliance department and take up the important role as a trusted legal business partner for the commercial organization. You will play a pivotal role in supporting relevant sites and functions within the commercial organization, including in particular; Technical Development and Supply, Global Procurement and Global IT and will act as internal lead on high impact/complexity contract negotiations. 

 

You will be the legal advisor on a broad range of various types of commercial contracts within product development, IT, manufacturing and supply, cross-functional projects and legal claims including supporting the business in strengthening contract management.

 

You will be trusted with responsibility and freedom to perform, which requires a structured work approach, corporate mind-set, ability to prioritize, and a strong business acumen. You will be recognized as an expert within the area of expertise with significant influence on and exposure towards the global leadership team as well as the entire organization.
 

Your role

 

In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice to various business areas and stakeholders within the global organization in particular in relation to reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts as well as in relation to various projects and claims. Tasks may include: 

 

  • Provide legal advice and support to various business units within the global organization.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and manage a broad spectrum of commercial contracts including those related to product development, IT, manufacturing, license and logistics.
  • Offer guidance on legal risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment.
  • Advise on various projects, enhancing business support in contract management.
  • Participate in and provide legal advice to the business in various types of claims or litigation (e.g., delays, non-conforming products etc.). 

Your qualifications

  • Master of Laws (cand. jur) or Master of Science in Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.mer.jur).
  • Proficient in English with strong negotiation and contract drafting skills. 
  • Excellent communication abilities and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Autonomous, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow in the role.
  • Preferably 7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel, ideally in a pharmaceutical context.

 
Nice to have:

 

  • Knowledge of IT contracting and pharmaceutical industry experience is beneficial.
  • Positive attitude and sense of humor are valued.

Your new team

 

You will join a small but highly efficient legal team of six skilled and dedicated legal specialists and be part of the Global Legal & Compliance department, counting approximately 50 legal & compliance specialists in total. You will be based at LEO Pharma HQ in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.
