Your role
In this role you will act as the trusted business partner for the VP of Mid‑sized European Markets and you will be a proactive member of the leadership team. You are expected to deliver revenue and OPEX management through tight tracking versus objectives, gap analysis and actionable recommendations as well as leading best practice for analysis and follow‑through.
Furthermore, you will lead with integrity, influence senior stakeholders and ensure robust planning and execution.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and influencing the Mid-sized European Markets Leadership Team; act as a visible finance leader and ambassador for One Finance.
- Owning forecasting and planning: monthly sales forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and annual long-term forecasts; deliver timely, accurate insights to support the strategy.
- Designing and presenting quarterly business review decks to senior management, combining financial, business, people and patient insights.
- Leading OPEX management: budget reviews, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives while optimising resource allocation to accelerate revenue growth.
- Ensuring robust controls and governance: maintain accurate monthly accounts, support acquisitions/due diligence, and partner with finance services centres and the Centre for Analytics to streamline reporting.
The role can be situated in any of these countries: Portugal, Ireland, Czech Rebublic, Switzerland, Nordics, BeNeLux, Greece, Poland, Austria and Denmark.
Your qualifications
You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong strategic and analytical skills, able to build credibility quickly with senior leaders and influence cross‑functional decisions. You combine industry knowledge with hands‑on experience leading teams and delivering measurable financial impact across multiple markets.
- MSc in Finance, Accounting or related discipline preferred; minimum 5 years’ experience as a finance leader.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred, with deep business understanding of the market.
- Proven commercial business partnering skills and ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis and data‑driven problem‑solving abilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading, hiring and developing teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines and available to travel across Europe Mid‑sized Markets at short notice.
Your new team
You will be part of the International Operations Finance Team consisting of a total of 25 dedicated business finance professional who make an important impact by providing finance business partnering to our commercial operations all across the globe. In addition, you will manage a team of three employees based in Gdansk.
