Role Description
Global Tactical Supply Planning Process Lead
LEO Pharma is strengthening its global supply chain capabilities with focus on clear ownership of the tactical supply and production planning process. We are therefore looking for a Tactical Supply Planning Process Lead to define, govern, and continuously improve how tactical planning is performed across the organization.
Join us in creating a future legacy in medical dermatology
At LEO Pharma, we are global leaders in medical dermatology with over 115 years of experience bringing innovation to healthcare. Each year, close to 100 million people have a better day because of our medicines—and we are eager to do much more.
Your role
This role will help redefine the global standard, clarify responsibilities between local and global levels, and ensure consistent adoption by local planners. The objective is to achieve harmonized planning practices and high‑quality, comparable outputs that reliably support financial planning and S&OP / IBP decision‑making and to ensure that the tactical planning process is clearly defined, harmonized, and aligned with industry best practices before and during system implementation. We currently preparing the implementation of a new Advanced Planning System (APS).
Key responsibilities
- Act as the global owner of the tactical supply planning process, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Re‑define how tactical planning should be performed, including clear global standards, principles and ways of working.
- Work closely with manufacturing sites and the external manufacturing team to map and understand local planning practices and constraints, identify site‑specific nuances driven by technology or manufacturing processes and harmonize/standardize processes where feasible, while allowing justified deviations
- Ensure that the tactical planning process is designed to fit the future APS standards and best practices, minimizing needs for system customization and alignment between tactical planning, financial planning, and S&OP / IBP processes
- Partner with the Planning system Product Owner to ensure that system enhancements and new requests align with process standards and business priorities and train and support site supply planners on global planning standards and ways of working
- Build, structure, and maintain clear, consistent, and accessible documentation of the tactical supply planning process, establishing a single source of truth for end‑to‑end process flows, roles and responsibilities, inputs, outputs, and decision points.
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
- Strong experience within supply chain planning, preferably including tactical supply/production planning.
- Proven background in process design, standardization, and governance in a global or multi‑site environment.
- Solid understanding of S&OP / IBP and how tactical planning supports financial and strategic decision‑making.
- Experience working with manufacturing sites and complex production environments.
- Familiarity with APS solutions (e.g., SAP IBP, SAP APO, or similar) and the interaction between process and system.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Experience in highly regulated industries is a plus
- APICS CPIM certification is an advantage
