Your role

As Medical Lead for the new asset you will ensure the development and execution of the medical affairs strategy, aligned with the commercial brand strategy. This includes pre- and post-launch activities, expert engagement, and evidence generation to support the differentiation and success of the asset in the dermatology space.

 

The role requires a clear business focus and disease specific expertise to identify and address the relevant needs of clinical medical practice.

 

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Global Medical Strategy and plan for the new asset.
  • Support the development of the overall asset plan with the Global Program Head and Global Brand Lead.
  • Align medical strategy with the commercial brand strategy and ensure seamless integration.

 

Evidence Generation and Communication:

  • Conduct systematic data gap analysis and develop a data generation plan.
  • Provide medical input into the Integrated Evidence Plan and clinical development plans.
  • Lead the development of the Target Product Claim document and ensure regular updates.

 

Expert Engagement and Education:

  • Develop and execute a global KEE engagement strategy in collaboration with country medical teams.
  • Lead the development of the global medical communication strategy and training frameworks for affiliates.

 

Compliance and Publications:

  • Oversee the development of the Strategic Publication Plan and ensure timely publication of key data.
  • Review and approve medical communication materials for compliance.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a key member of the Global Asset Team (GAT) and Global Brand Team.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Development, Commercial, and Market Access teams to ensure alignment and success.

 

We estimate this role will require 25% travel.  

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications

 

  • Educational background at master level, preferably MD or similar health care related education
  • Experience in dermatology and biologics is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, including global/regional roles.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to prioritize
  • Excellent understanding of organizational practices, and cross-functional clinical development processes
  • Proven leadership record of working in a matrix environment and cross-geographies
