Shape the LEO Pharma of Tomorrow

At LEO Pharma, our mission goes beyond the ordinary. We are on an ambitious journey to become global leaders in medical dermatology.

In Global Finance, we embrace a “challenge accepted” mindset and are guided by our winning behaviors of simplification, collaboration, and accountability to achieve our goals.

This position is a key part of our Global Finance initiative focused on ESG reporting, where you will contribute from day one to energize and enhance our team’s capacity. The role offers a unique opportunity to sharpen your core finance skills while working in a hybrid role that bridges the existing controlling team and the emerging ESG Finance team, with a primary focus on the latter.

We are seeking candidates for a position in our offices located in Ballerup, Denmark, or Gdansk, Poland.

Your role

You will be responsible for driving the development of ESG reporting in alignment with new requirements, managing the ESG reporting process, and coordinating its implementation. You will participate in the roll-out of ESG reporting in collaboration with Group Controlling & External Reporting. On a quarterly basis, you will contribute to both ESG and/or financial reporting. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with internal controls over ESG and financial reporting, as many controls apply to both areas.

In your ESG role, you will focus on implementing sustainability data processes within our group reporting system, ensuring seamless integration. You will perform operational tasks, control data in ESG reporting, and lead process optimization projects, system enhancements, and services while collaborating closely with various departments. Furthermore, you will help build documentation of processes and controls to support the reporting.

Specifically, you will:

•    Be part of the project that develops the reporting system and processes for ESG reporting
•    Play a critical role in project managing the ESG reporting roll-out, ensuring the plan and deliverables from Lines of Business (LoB) are on track
•    Identify KPIs where data collection and reporting should be established in close collaboration with LoB and Corporate Affairs
•    Establish structure and internal controls around ESG reporting
•    Liaise with external auditors who will provide assurance on our ESG indicators
•    Serve as a go-to expert for questions related to ESG group reporting, accounting policies, or other challenges
•    Take joint responsibility for continuously automating and optimizing our processes, such as procedures related to quarterly reporting
•    Participate in the preparation and reporting of LEO Group ESG figures
•    Support the development of value capture methods for ESG initiatives and performance
•    Stay updated on trends and performance gaps within sustainable finance regulation in collaboration with LEO’s Corporate Affairs department (e.g., EU Taxonomy)

Your core finance role will include relevant tasks based on your interests and experience, such as controlling, internal controls, IFRS, or month-end reporting. At LEO Pharma, we see a growing trend of working more integrated within Finance—not only through integrated reporting but also by aligning our processes and teams.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

•    A Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting
•    A minimum of 2 years of experience with Big4 audit firms
•    Preferably, experience in ESG from a listed company
•    Proven expertise in finance and project management
•    Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to understand and operationalize new legislation
•    Experience in supporting organizational change management
•    Proficiency in condensing and simplifying complex topics for effective communication

LEO Pharma is built on collaboration, innovation, and curiosity. Is this you? Can you bring this and:

•    An independent work attitude
•    Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize key challenges
