Associate Category Manager, IT Infrastructure

Join a team of six procurement and sourcing professionals responsible for IT Procurement, strategy, end-to-end sourcing, and supplier management. This is not a classic role - here you will be part of the IT Procurement, Sourcing & Asset Management team within Global IT, where you will work closely with the IT colleagues and business stakeholders as to drive TCO improvements, execute complex contracts, and deliver measurable savings and value.

Your role

 

You will be responsible for the Infrastructure category. Empower procurement opportunities to improve total cost proactively and optimize spend within the category and drive improvements but also design, maintain and continuously improve the sourcing process and procurement strategy for Infrastructure across Global IT and LEO Pharma.

 

  • Develop and execute the the Infrastructure procurement category strategy (global/local) to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and value, including supplier landscape and governance (tenders/RFX, transparency, and selection). Scope includes exciting procurement projects within and not limited to Hardware, Telephony, Network, Data center operations etc.
  • Manage spend details, contracts (ownership, end dates, commitments, flexibility, terms and conditions), renewal planning, and ensure clear controls and risk mitigation.
  • Drive end-to-end sourcing projects from ideation to contracting and implementation, including negotiations and supplier onboarding.
  • Manage supplier relationships (segmentation, performance, and ongoing activity) and act as a trusted procurement advisor to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, quantify, and execute cost saving opportunities and commercial improvements; be ready to challenge the business when needed.
  • Ensure IT procurement ownership for selected vendors, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain processes across global/local category strategies, stakeholder engagement, and value-adding initiatives.

 

Your qualifications

 

We are looking for a candidate with strong interest in procurement/sourcing and IT. This is a great opportunity to rapidly develop professional procurement toolbox in an international organisation.

 

  • University degree (or equivalent) and 0–2 years’ procurement/sourcing or sales experience.
  • Strong interest in IT procurement/sourcing.
  • Strategic and Proactive mindset - with flair for strategy and taking ownership and self motivation.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills – data-driven procurement including spend analyses, bid analysis, cost-driver analytics. Turn data to actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management - act as a trusted procurement advisor; Danish language skills preferable.
  • Interest in supplier/contract management with a strong drive for continuous optimization.
  • Outcome driven - focus on driving results, strengthening capabilities, and achieving clear goals.
