Your role

As Senior Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing LEO Pharma’s biologic portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Upstream biologics drug substance support primarily on marketed Biologics products and secondary on development programs of Biologics products in LEO Pharma.
• Oversight of Biologic DS manufacturing processes at external partners
• Participate in defining the biologics CMC strategy in the function
• Recognized as LEO expert within upstream process for biologics
• Identify, guide and contribute to the successful initiation, progression, and completion of major programs, processes and/or projects for the area

Your work will be central to LEO’s mission to pioneer new solutions in dermatology and improve patient outcomes globally.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience in biologics DS process
• Experience with CMO collaborations
• Proven experience with PPQ and commercial manufacturing for antibody drug substances
• Experience in cell bank manufacturing, upstream process development and change of scale
• Practical knowledge of commercial-scale GMP operations, technology transfer, and authoring of regulatory documentation
• Strong inter-collaborative stakeholder management skills
• Experience with biologic modalities other than antibodies will be considered an advantage
• Cross-disciplinary experience (downstream, analytical, stability or like) in Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing will be considered an advantage
